Tutorial 67 | How to create a ‘symmetric’ Doji function

Welcome to tutorial 67 in this series of tutorials designed to help you learn to program TradeStation EasyLanguage.

The standard TradeStation Doji function looks for bars where the open and close are the same or very close. This simple tutorial demonstrates how to create a new function that looks for Dojis where the open and close are very close AND the upper wick is approximately the same as the lower wick.

This tutorial includes a show-me study that plots the standard Dojis and symmetric Dojis found using this new function.

The image below shows the program applied to a chart.
