Tutorial 187 | Draw text labels anchored to the right of the chart

Tutorial 187 demonstrates how to create a simple program to create text anchored to the right hand side of the chart at ten specified price levels.

The typeface and the size of the font can be changed in the user inputs as can the color. These settings apply to all the labels. The typefaces available depend on which fonts are installed on the user’s computer.

As more bars are added to the chart, the program re-positions all the labels on the right of the chart.

If less than 10 labels are required the user can enter “” in the label input(s) (e.g. Label1, Label2, Label 3 etc.) that is/are not being used.

Technical lessons

Technically, the tutorial uses the TextLabel object and a vector. It also uses a method that returns the text label object which is then stored in the vector.
